SPY: We use our technical-based approach to sell liquid options (puts or put spreads on bullish patterns like with SPY and calls or call spreads on bearish patterns) when the premium (credit received) is generous for the assumed risk. We literally get Paid to predict where a stock will NOT go by expiration using Master Trader Strategies (MTS). As shown on this 15-Min. intra-day chart of SPY, it had a bearish selloff into the close which left what we call a Price Void (i.e., insignificant resistance to the left). On the daily chart, it was a nasty bearish Wide Range Bar (-WRB) reversal on hawkish Fed talk about interest rates. Our natural bias after the –WRB was for an inside day, which would translate into stabilization and a small bounce on the intra-day chart, which occurred as expected. These are excellent candidates to sell 0 DTE puts or put spreads on SPY once we get an intra-day bullish setup, which happened shortly the open. The blue box shows the pre-market action which was bullish with the +Gap and retest of support. The stage was set for our 0 DTE put spread provided our bias was confirmed within the first 30 minutes of trading. After the first 15-Min. bullish bar’s close (bullish higher low by considering the pre-market pattern), we issued the put spread recommendation, which worked like a charm. The price action supported a short-term low so we sold the $512 out-of-the money strike which was below the support. Selling 10 contracts of this put spread would have generated $510 in premium. You can see how the stock moved up nicely delivering easy gains in a short time. And the best part of this strategy is that the stock can actually go against you and you still make money!

SIMO: A Master Trader Buy Setup is a retracement and bullish reversal on support in an uptrend, something we can easily teach to an 8-year old using Master Trader Strategies (MTS). SIMO was in a bullish uptrend as shown by the higher Pivot Highs and higher Pivot Lows above the rising 20/50-MA. It then had a bullish Breakout where shown. After a sharp move higher, it retraced in a controlled manner and closed with a Bottoming Tail (BT) on Minor Support (i.e., the prior highs where it broke out from). Our long entry is over a prior day’s high as shown. It was an easy trail management, booking a nice 4-day swing gain where we sold into strength as the broader markets and sector were weakening. Nice trade!
