Despite many negative headlines, the S&P 500 and Dow both rose about 3% on the week, and the Nasdaq 4%, their biggest gains in months.

Investors’ risk appetites are high as reflected in high flying mania stocks and demand for speculative debt.

Oil prices have dropped 20% since peaking in January, while the 10-year Treasury yield has fallen to 1.58%, both possible signs of a slowing economy or future economic turmoil.
