Master Trader combines Technical Strategies (MTS) with option trading to teach investors and traders how to generate income and wealth in the markets.
All of our trade recommendations are based on how bullish or bearish we are on the price patterns that we use on multiple time frames (MTF). We then choose either Income or Directional Option Strategies to best match our bias and trading time frame used.
Many of our students and subscribers ask our opinions on various recommendations made by other services. Many of those recommendations conflict with the straight forward approach to trading stocks and options learned at Master Trader.
Our comments are not meant to criticize, but rather to educate our subscribers and viewers to the highest probability opportunities to make money and empower them to make their own investing and trading decisions.
Below you will see our video analysis and discuss the short-term (weekly) long call recommendation made on MSFT and whether the charts and option strategy make sense based on the advisor's bias.
The options service stated that the belief that would MSFT rally $10 points since it traded through $90. This is a very subjective opinion based on trading around “whole numbers.”
Master Trader students know that any price level could be a climactic sell setup area based on the pattern; whereas the same price level could be a continuation breakout based on the pattern.. It's all about the technical patterns on MTF — not the whole number.
Although it might rally $10 over time, the pattern surely does not suggest such a robust short-term rally. Additionally, buying an ATM call option with 7 days to expiration based on this bias makes no sense to us.
Our comments are not meant to criticize, but rather to point out what we objectively see. Trading is about trading high-probability setups with proper risk management, so we always want the odds stacked in our favor before entering new trades.
